I’m the founder of Root & Roam! For a while I’ve had a vision of believing homeschool families gathering as a true village while centering God in our relationships with one another, creation, and knowledge. By the power of the Holy Spirit and to the glory of the King, here we are!
I'm Kate, and I am honored to be the Vice President of Root & Roam! My family has been part of Root & Roam since the summer of 2025, and this community has been such a blessing to us. Having been homeschooled myself, I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to continue that journey with my own daughter, create a beautiful homeschooling experience for her, and come alongside families who share a heart for Christ, a love for God’s creation, and a desire for meaningful relationships.
Hi, I’m Sarah! My husband’s name is Ben and our children are Violet and Cyrus. I have been a part of Root & Roam since my son was 2 months old and it started as a great way to socialize Violet. I love to teach my children about the love and joy of Christ! I plan to homeschool all my children and focus on life skills, curiosity, and fostering independence.
I'm Livie, I am the treasurer for Root & Roam and am beyond grateful to have found this village. I have been blessed to watch Root & Roam develop from playdates with like-minded moms to what it has become today. My children love to be out in nature learning about God's amazing creation while socializing with our wonderful community. I have (almost) 3 kiddos and we will be starting our official homeschool journey this fall!
